during installation of system 71 65 999 (Imperator 400) into engine of Imperator 450 or 400 with crank from 450 or cranks not well repaired you may encounter a problem with the cover as shown here in the photo. the cover can not be fully closed |

Or, should it close, it presses against the rotor so that the rotor can not move freely. Normally, the situation should look like in the picture to the right, not as the one in the left.

The reason for this is a longer crank. Unfortunately space is tight anyway so that there is no room for correction. Please, during installation check as the very first step whether this problem exists in your Horex. Place the Powerdynamo rotor (after having taken the stock system off) onto the crank without installing any other parts (you would only soil them) and close the cover. Should you experience the described problems, please return the system, it can not be installed and not made fitting either. Please do not undertake changes your self, this spoils warranty. back to system info |
