Problem: customer buys for a friend without access to internet
Surely a noble thing amongst classic bike lovers, but at times bringing some havoc into possible later communication.
If after some time there is communication between the person who got the material eventually and us, say on a technical matter or warranty there can be problems.
  • we are effectively asked to communicate customer data to somebody not known to us. Such an instant has already led to some severe argument beween a customer and us who accused us of breach of confidentiality.

We therefore will not hand out any customer data, such as price, invoice number, date of sale, name etc to someone saying he was the effective receiver of the material but was not our customer initially.
  • further, "no access to internet" also means that we have a problem in communication with this person, say when we get material from him to test and/or repair.
  • lastly,  warranty is always relative to the customer who bought from us and who can present our invoice as proof.

As you can see, a host of possible problems.
Our partner for communication will always the customer be who bought from us.
