frequent mistake in placing two-tier stator assembly onto engine

We find quite often that customers do not use the steel adapter in two-tier (2 level adapting of stator) systems. They wrongly think that the steel ring is not needed or does not fit and place the inner aluminium support for the stator coil directly onto the engine block. This is wrong and will lead to possible destruction of the material or at least bad functioning.

This arrangement is used in many MZ, JAWA, DKW and BMW systems where the dynamo base has a diameter of 97mm (BMW: 98mm). The bottom of the steel adapter has 97mm (resp. 98mm). The aluminium base for the stator has 96 mm.
