Technical Help

Quite often customers report:
  • when i switch off hot engine, i can not start again until engine has cooled down
Reason is often not ignition, but overheated carburetor in which pressure is building up after engine stop, preventing restart.
Try as follows to find out:

Close petrol cock (gas valve) before you want to stop, to empty carburetor. Reopen only immediately before restart.
If starting problem does not show again you have the problem as described above.

Solution is better insulation of carburetor body against cylinder/engine block by means of some insulating sleeve.

This sleeve is normally there from factory, but during whatever work on engine might have gone lost.
