???

small shaft

Suzuki T or GT 500?

long shaft

???

We say expressly engine, as it happens that you have a different Suzuki engine in your frame. So reference always is engine, not frame!

How to find out???
The following information has been compiled from customer reports and may not be complete or fully accurate. At the moment however it is for us the only info to go by when trying to deliver the correct system to you. There have been many versions and it did differ from country to country.

The crank used in Suzuki equipped with the electronic PIE ignition should have the dimensions indicated below. This would require our system 72 01 599 00.

No picture of stock PIE yet!

The crank of the earlier T500 which used the points based alternator is shorter and requires our (ignition only) system 71 08 599 00 or (full lights system) 72 61 799 00.

A confusion between the 2 versions will bring  severe fitment problems with our replacement system.

The picture here illustrates what happens when you actually need a 72 01 but got a 71 08: the rotor sits out of limits.

As you see below the solution is that system 7201 has a double plate. The rotor can for physical reasons not be lowered and is same in both systems.

As life is so colourfull
, we bet there are further versions, so please do give us as much as possible detail on your Suzuki when inquiring for a system. Thank you!

Please note that though very similar, the Yamaha systems we offer will NOT fit Suzuki!
