in 2006 and before May 2007) had advance units with characteristics
outlines below. Other (later) units have settings as described in the currecnt instructions |

| The following curves are
available (older units). (The degree and rev values are for camshaft and must be multiplied by 2 for crank values!) |

Curve 1 (recommended curve for
single spark): Start with 1° BTDC and then linear advancing to 21° at 1.200rpm. |

Curve 2 (recommended curve for
twin spark): Start with 1° BTDC and then linear advancing to 16° at 1.200rpm. |
 |
Curve 3: Start at 2° ATDC to prevent kickbacks. At 500rpm 1° BTDC and linear advancing to 20° at 1.200rpm. |
 |
Curve 4 (2 stroke curve): Start at 1° BTDC. Keeps that till 1.200rpm and than suddenly advances to 21°. |
