for module

70 00 111 XT

For the connection of certain MMB tachometers  to
Powerdynamo systems with extern sensor.

IMPORTANT:
Please do read those instructions fully before starting work on your bike or any modification on the supplied system.
If you have no expertise for the installation have it done by an expert or at a specialist's workshop. Improper installation may damage the new system and your motorcycle.
You have to use a 12V battery!
If you have access to the Internet, see those instructions online. You get larger and better pictures by clicking onto them. System list at http://www.powerdynamo.biz

The module is pre-wired:

  • You have to lead the green cable (4) to the rev counter and connect it to this green cable.

  • Connect the rev counter as shown in the enclosed assembly instruction.

  • Disconnect the plug-connection of the generator to the ignition coil (resp. on systems with advance unit to the advance unit).

  • Connect the new pre-wired unit between these now opened plugs. Plug 2 will be connected to the ignition coil (resp. advance unit) and plug 3 to the stator cable of the generator (see left).

The impulse is taken from the ignition pole voltage (red wire) and than divided down from 6 pulses per rev to 2 per rev.

ADVICE:
  • The adapter is designed to wirk tachometers ( revolution counter) of the former company Nova MMB Schwarzenberg with a 2:1 transmission and a positive pulse. (Attention: it will Not work on negative pulses!)
  • We have neither checked the adapter in combination with instruments of other producers, nor with the present line from the MMB successor pulsetronic.
  • WE know that it does not work with the Pitsch LZ13.
  • The instruments (not our adapter) imperatively need a 12V battery.
  • Please observe the assembly-, safety- and user's manual of your Powerdynamo when connecting.
