Essential properties:

  • 12V/75W output, negative ground (Will be destroyed if subjected to positive ground!)
  • may be used for left and for right turn
  • integrated solid state regulator/rectifier
  • may be used without battery
    requires than however smoothing condenser (see info)
    NOTE: output at start is not enough to make battery based ignition work without battery. Without battery only if bike has magneto based ignition!
  • no internal gears, carbons or other parts subjected to wear and tear
  • takes stock back plate (if slightly modified, see instructions) or our replacement backplate 
    part 71 98 499 004 N
  • does not support charge control lamp

  • sturdy plated steel body with alloy end caps
  • diameter: 76mm
  • length of body: 150mm
  • shaft diameter at carriage level: 13mm
  • threading in shaft: M6 (screw supplied)

  • fixed red plus wire of ca 1m length (to be cut as needed)

  • negative ground only (will be destroyed if placed on positive ground!)
  • integrated solid state rectifier/regulator converts the generated alternation current into direct current and stabilises it at 14.4V (the norm in 12V systems)
  • if used without battery you need to install a smoothing condenser in place of the battery to get full output.
