Deposit on new developments
We have made more than 100 systems at customers requests on which we have not received any feedback from the customer whatsoever.

With this, those developments are practically lost, we can not make use of it as we do not know whether the material fitted and worked and in many cases we do not even really know what engine this was for.

We surely could spread development cost could we sell same again.
But in the absense of information we can not sensibly do so.

So far, we always have calculated prices for such new systems on the basis of possibly repeated sales. The effort of creating new systems is quite substantial, research, construction, prototype machining, internal documentation, assembly instructions, all this needs effort and time from us.

Initially we did give a 15% discount right away for new applications, hoping for return information. As this did not really work, we did change to offering a retrospective 15% discount against information. Not much result either.

As we are not a charity or club, but a business which has to pay wages, rent, energy, internet, taxes etc, we are therefore forced to introduce the following deposit policy.
 
On systems made at customer request for engines not known to us yet or not known enough to make a system, we will charge a fee of 70 euros on top of the price which we will quote and invoice. The customer will be returned this fee (some kind of deposit) once we have the following information
  • confirmation that material was fitted and engine runs to satisfaction
  • exact type of motorcyle (legible photo of the manufacturers name plate or transcript of all text there showing type, year of make and frame number)
  • copy of road papers showing type and vehicle number
  • engine number
  • photo of engine, dynamo/magneto side with stock system  
  • photo of engine, dynamo/magneto side without any system 
  • photo of engine, dynamo/magneto side with new system (best one with view at stator and one with rotor on)
  • description of changes made to the prototype in case it did not fit right away or confirmation that no changes had been needed
We are very sorry to introduce such a strict line, but circumstances force us to and for the customer, given we get his feedback, a small effort. Nothing is lost, the customer gets his 70 euros back.

Arrangements made before May 11th 2011 where we offered customers a retrospective 15% discount remain valid. Arrangements made after May 11th 2011 however are subject to the above procedure.
